Madoc’s Ben Danford is on CanadA training-camp roster for the upcoming for the 2026 World Junior Hockey Championship. The Brantford Bulldogs defenceman who was selected 31st overall in the 2024 NHL Entry Draft by the Toronto Maple Leafs, joins likes of Gavin McKenna, Michael Misa and Porter Martone on the list. The roster features 15 forwards, nine defencemen and three goaltenders. Canada will need to trim its roster down to 24 players before the tournament starts Dec. 26 in Minnesota. Team Canada has lost in the quarterfinal in back-to-back years including in Ottawa last year.
