CONCORD, N.H. —

A witness to a fatal shooting involving police in Manchester over the weekend said they woke up Saturday morning to the sound of gunshots.

The New Hampshire Attorney General's Office said Nickenly Turenne, 24, of Manchester, was shot and killed by Manchester police Saturday morning.

Police were called to the area of 293 S. Mammoth Road for a report of a suspicious vehicle.

A homeowner told News 9 that they woke up at about 5 a.m. to the sound of gunfire and saw a body on the ground in their front yard.

The homeowner said they spoke with the neighbor who made the call after seeing the car driving around the school parking lot across the street.

According to the Attorney General's Office, police found Turenne and a woman asleep in the car's driver and passenger seats. W
