Former English star Michael Owen slammed Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah for making his frustrations public with a press rant following the Reds’ 3-3 draw at Elland Road against Leeds.

Salah has netted 250 times in 420 games for the club, and has led the Merseyside club to two Premier League titles and the Champions League since joining in 2017, but has struggled this season, netting just five times in 19 appearances.

“Oh mosalah I can imagine how you feel. You’ve carried this team for a long time and won everything there is to win. But this is a team game and you simply can’t publicly say what you’ve said," the former Liverpool star said.

“You’re going to afcon in a week. Surely you bite your lip, enjoy representing your country and see how the land lies when you get back?"
