Jeremy Barton was driving from Alaska to his home state of Oklahoma with his tuxedo cat, Shadow, in July when the pair made a stop at Liard Hot Springs Provincial Park in British Columbia, Canada — about 186 miles northwest of Fort Nelson, per CBC .
