SEDGWICK COUNTY, Kan. (KAKE) - Authorities continue to investigate the disappearance of a 30-year-old man who was last seen at Lake Afton last week.
The Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office said Ian Alexander Shelton was last seen on surveillance video at Lake Afton at approximately 2:12 a.m. on Wednesday. Surveillance video shows him wearing a gray zip-up hooded sweatshirt, a black T-shirt with a white image on the front, blue jeans and white Nike shoes.
"He was outdoors in cold weather and was not dressed for the conditions, which increases concern for his safety. Detectives believe Ian may have been experiencing a mental health crisis at the time of his disappearance," the sheriff's office said.
Detectives searched the Lake Afton area on Saturday.
