Former Celtic managerial candidate Nicky Hayen has been sacked by Club Brugge.
The Belgian was thought to be in the running for the Parkhead job after Brendan Rodgers resigned. He was one of many names linked and refused to rule himself out when asked.
However, the club opted for Wilfried Nancy and the French-Canadian was unveiled last week before taking charge of his first game against Hearts at the weekend. Martin O'Neill took interim charge for a short spell.

And now, days after Nancy's appointment, Hayen has lost his job in Brugge.
The Belgian giants are third in the table, behind Union Saint-Gilloise and Sint-Truidense and have opted to get rid of the 45-year-old two days before their Champions League clash with Arsenal.
