CUMBERLAND COUNTY, Tenn. (WVLT) - The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help finding the suspect in an armed robbery Saturday night.
According to the sheriff’s office, deputies responded to the robbery at Proffitt’s Market, located on Pomona Road, at around 9 p.m. after a man with a large machete went inside the store and demanded money.
The suspect, who was not identified, was wearing a black winter coat with a black mask, gloves and jeans. Deputies said he ran from the scene on foot behind the store.
Deputies tried to find the suspect Saturday night but were unable to.
CCSO said the investigation remains active and ongoing.
