HOPKINTON, R.I. —
A driver accused in connection with a crash that killed a musician in Rhode Island over the weekend has a criminal history including more than 100 arrests, according to the Hopkinton Police Department.
Police said they responded around 7:21 a.m. Saturday to a one-car crash on Spring Street (Route 138) in Hopkinton, where they found that a pedestrian walking his dogs had been struck.
The victim, identified by police as Roderick Macleod, 70, of Richmond, Rhode Island, was taken to Rhode Island Hospital but later died from his injuries, according to the department.
His bandmates in Roomful of Blues posted a message mourning his death on social media .
