The Dallas Cowboys , who entered Thursday night riding back-to-back wins over the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs, fell to 6-6-1 after a 44-30 loss to the Detroit Lions.
Much of the postgame conversation centered on Cowboys star wide receiver George Pickens—who’s been having a career year—but drew criticism for his lack of effort during the game. Head coach Brian Schottenheimer reportedly questioned that effort and addressed the situation with the media on Monday.
Schottenheimer said he spoke with Pickens following the disappointing outing, where Pickens finished with five receptions for 37 yards on nine targets.
