Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins is back under the NFL 's concussion protocol following a head injury he sustained during Sunday's Week 14 loss to the Buffalo Bills.
Higgins was carted off the field after suffering a concussion during Week 12's loss to the New England Patriots. The 26-year-old wide receiver missed Week 13 as he progressed through the NFL's concussion protocol, before returning to the field in Week 14.
After slamming his head on the Highmark Stadium turf multiple times, Higgins was evaluated for a concussions during Sunday's loss to the Bills. He was ultimately cleared to return to action by the NFL's independent neurologists on each occasion.
