Fans are in an uproar after KISS bassist Gene Simmons crassly blamed fellow band founder Ace Frehley for his own untimely death.

Simmons told the New York Post that a series of “bad decisions” by Frehley led to the lead guitarist’s death on Oct. 16 following a fall at Frehley’s home studio in New Jersey.

“He refused [advice] from people that cared about him – including yours truly – to try to change his lifestyle. In and out of bad decisions. Falling down the stairs — I’m not a doctor — doesn’t kill you. There may have been other issues, and it breaks my heart,” said Simmons.

Frehley died as a result of a blunt force trauma to the head following the fall. A separate toxicology report has yet to be issued.
