MEXICO CITY, Dec 8 (Reuters) - Mexican restaurant operator Alsea said on Monday it has signed a development agreement with U.S. chicken-finger chain Raising Cane's to open eateries in Mexico.
The brand, known for its chicken fingers and original Cane's Sauce, is expected to begin operations in the second half of 2026, Alsea said in a statement, adding it plans to explore additional expansion opportunities in the region.
"We are excited to partner with Raising Cane's, an iconic brand, and contribute to its international growth," Alsea CEO Christian Gurria said.
In April, Chipotle Mexican Grill entered a partnership with Alsea to open its first Taco Bell location in Mexico early next year.
