KALAMAZOO, MI — A driver was arrested after crashing into a home, injuring someone inside, police said.
At 2:07 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 7, Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety officers responded to a report of a car crashing into a home in the 3500 block of Mount Olivet.
Police found the vehicle on its side after it hit the front corner of the house, causing significant structural damage, KDPS said.
The driver got out of the wrecked car himself the home was evacuated, KDPS said.
The driver, a 47-year-old Kalamazoo man, appeared to be under the influence and was arrested for operating while intoxicated causing injury, KDPS said.
