RALEIGH, N.C. (WITN) - Gov. Josh Stein is advising drivers to be careful as they navigate slick roadways due to wintry weather impacts.
“These weather conditions will impact much of North Carolina, especially in the western and northern parts of the state,” Stein said. “We urge travelers in impacted areas to take all necessary precautions. Please be cautious while driving and monitor local weather reports for reliable updates.”
Ongoing precipitation over western N.C. will persist throughout today, and moisture has spread eastward, transitioning to snow in certain northern regions. Precipitation is expected to stop early this evening.
A winter weather advisory is in effect in the mountains and northern parts of the state.
