Much of the baseball world has gathered in Orlando for this week's Winter Meetings. Executives, managers, reporters, analysts -- they are all there. And soon, Pete Alonso will be, too.
According to the New York Post's Mike Puma ( subscription required ), Alonso will drive up from his residence in Tampa on Tuesday to hold in-person talks at the Meetings with interested suitors. That includes the Red Sox and the Orioles.
Alonso may just be the perfect offseason addition for a Boston team that wants a big bopper to fill the void left behind by Rafael Devers. The Orioles have been more often linked to some of the top starting pitchers in free agency, but they could use an infusion of power after a 2025 season in which their first basemen and designated hitters combined for a .375 slugg
