A fast-growing Southern chicken chain is officially making its Garden State debut.

Zaxbys will open its first New Jersey location on Monday, Dec. 15, the company said in a news release. The restaurant is located at 804 North White Horse Pike in Magnolia, about a mile away from the New Jersey Turnpike.

The 3,000-square-foot restaurant's owner, GSP Group, also operates Dunkin' and Subway franchises.

"We’re honored to open the first Zaxbys in New Jersey and bring something truly special to this community," said GSP managing partner Premanand Gupta. "This is just the beginning — our goal is to create jobs, serve quality food, and make Zaxbys a new favorite for families and friends across the Garden State."

Zaxbys previously announced plans for six total Jersey restaurants, with GSP owning all of them. The Atlanta-based chain said it plans to reach 1,000 restaurants by the end of 2025.

The Zaxbys menu features traditional and boneless wing meals, accompanied by french fries, Texas toast, and a beverage. Customers can also order meals with chicken fingers, sandwiches, and salads.

Zaxbys also offers its secret recipe Zax Sauce, a Spicy Zax Sauce, and Tongue Torch Sauce, which includes aged peppers, garlic, and mustard seeds.

The chain was founded in Statesboro, Georgia, in 1990, and has expanded beyond its southeast footprint to states like Indiana, Utah, and Virginia. Zaxbys also opened its first Maryland restaurant in November.

The Magnolia location is expected to employ up to 50 people.
