LOS ANGELES -- Hollywood icon Goldie Hawn lit up the blue carpet at the Make-A-Wish Greater Los Angeles Wish Gala, where she was honored with the prestigious Power of a Wish Award.

Her son, actor Oliver Hudson, proudly presented her with the accolade during the star-studded celebration.

Speaking exclusively with On The Red Carpet, Hawn said the recognition resonated deeply with her passion to support children's mental health.

"We all have to have compassion for everyone on the planet," she said.

"We've got children who are in bed suffering, and they need to be happy too. The whole idea is to bring more joy to our children, where they basically have been living with these illnesses."
