Below Deck's Fraser Olender on Heart Attack From Vaping

Fraser Olender suffered a recent health scare from smoking.

The Below Deck star, 33, shared that he experienced a serious side effect from vaping—a heart attack.

After experiencing "severe chest pains and difficulties breathing," Fraser was rushed to the hospital and spent a week seeing specialists trying to understand what was going on, he wrote in a Dec. 5 Instagram post . He said doctors figured out that he had "vape poisoning," or "an E-cigarette or Vaping-Associated Lung Injury,” explaining that the heart attack ultimately stemmed from a series of medical conditions with vaping at the root.

"Whatever was in my vape caused me to have a coronary artery vasospasm. Medically, that means the arteries supplying blood to my heart suddenly clamped down," Fraser shared alongside photo
