An "active shooter" has reportedly opened fire at an army base with people urged to "stay inside".
The Hinesville Police Department issued a lockdown after reports of an "active shooter" in a residential area of Fort Stewart, in Georgia. "A shelter in place has been issued on Fort Stewart due to an ongoing incident in the housing area," Fort Stewart Hunter Army Airfield said on social media. "Law enforcement are currently on scene. Individuals are asked to stay indoors."
