COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - A Teller County deputy is on administrative leave after being detained earlier this month, according to the Teller County Sheriff’s Office (TCSO).

The Sheriff’s Office said Deputy John Taylor was detained by the Colorado Springs Police Department on December 1.

11 News is working to learn more details as to why Taylor was detained.

At this time, the Colorado Springs Police Department is investigating the incident, and the Sheriff’s Office is awaiting the results of that investigation.

Taylor will reportedly remain on administrative leave while the Teller County Sheriff’s Office reviews the facts of the case.
