It has been a busy last couple of days for Delta Air Lines. The carrier faced a major network outage at Detroit Metro Airport , resulting in hundreds of cancellations. On Sunday, Delta experienced yet another ground stop , this time due to fog concerns at Hartsfield-Jackson Airport.
Despite the chaotic last couple of days, CEO Ed Bastian remains satisfied with Delta's current standing among the other major U.S. airlines. So much so that Bastian took a shot at its competitor, United Airlines. Let's face it, these types of calls aren't out of the ordinary. Just over a week ago, we reported on a billboard battle between United and Southwest Airlines .
Bastian's shot as United didn't come through a billboard. Instead, the Delta CEO issued the statement at a recent conference.
