A provincial task force has announced a man has been charged in a shooting at a South Surrey, B.C., home on Nov. 12.
It was the second time the home at the 17000-block of 32 Avenue was hit by gunfire in the preceding five days.
Police say they were called out around 7:35 p.m. PT on Nov. 12 for reports of a shooting , and no one was injured.
Now, a provincial task force that has been investigating a rash of violent extortion cases in the Lower Mainland has announced a man has been charged in relation to the shooting.
Avtar Singh, 21, has been charged with one count of unlawfully discharging a firearm, according to RCMP.
He is now in custody, RCMP said in a statement, and his next court appearance is on Dec. 10.
