SEDGWICK COUNTY, Kan. (KAKE) – A Kansas teen was found dead in Sedgwick County Sunday night.

At about 4:20 p.m., law enforcement and medical crews were dispatched to the 600 block of N. Harrison for a report of a teen who had suffered a gunshot wound. When they arrived, officers determined the teen had died from their injuries.

The scene was turned over to law enforcement for further investigation. At this time, officials say there is no evidence of foul play.

Because the incident involved a USD 439 student, the district has brought in additional crisis team workers and resources to support students in the coming days. Prairie View Mental and Behavioral Health Services is also offering resources to students.
