Philip Rivers donning an NFL jersey in 2025-26? It could very well happen.
The Indianapolis Colts reportedly will bring in the veteran quarterback for a workout in their facilities on Tuesday to see if he's open to joining the practice squad. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport first reported the news.

The news comes on Rivers' 44th birthday. The former No. 4 overall pick played 16 of his 17 seasons with the Chargers . His final season was with Indianapolis, where he was a regular starter and managed to help clinch a wild-card berth, eventually losing to the Buffalo Bills 27-24.
Rivers threw 4,169 yards, 24 touchdowns and 11 picks that season on a 68% completion rate. But that was five years ago.
