On Monday at 4:18 p.m. the National Weather Service released a flood advisory in effect until 11 p.m. for Clatsop and Columbia counties.
The weather service says, "Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected."
"Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways," states the weather service. "Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles."
