Calls have mounted for more detail on foreign investment across the seven North East local authorities. Elected members have requested transparency into where international cash is going throughout the region.

Off the back of a regional update on upcoming events to boost international investment across the North East, including a mayoral delegation to India next year, councillors have called for more data on foreign investment.

Specifically, councillors from across the region have called for further updates on direct foreign investments in their respective areas.
