Flint Southwestern to close Dec. 9 for maintenance issue, school district says

FLINT, MI – Classes have been canceled on Tuesday, Dec. 9 at Southwestern Classical Academy and the Accelerated Learning Academy due to a maintenance issue.

Flint Community Schools announced the closure on social media on Monday, Dec. 8.

Athletic events in the afternoon will go on, but other after-school activities are canceled.

“We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause,” the district wrote in a statement. “The safety and well-being of our scholars and staff remain our top priority.”
