Kareem Artharee, Gresham

The senior guard had 10 points, nine rebounds, four assists and two blocks to help the Gophers open their season with an 82-68 win over Churchill in a nonleague clash played at Gresham High School.

Sloan Baker, West Linn

The junior guard scored 21 points and dished off four assists for the Lions in a 66-55 win over South Eugene in a nonleague game played at McArthur Court in Eugene.

Landyn Beil, Grant Union

The junior guard/forward turned in a double-double for the Prospectors with 20 points and 10 rebounds while also having seven steals and three assists in a season-opening 65-50 nonleague win at Prairie City/Burnt River.
