TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) - For the fifth time in program history, the Florida State soccer team is bringing home a national title to Tallahassee with the 1-0 victory over Stanford.
Scoreless until three minutes to play, Wrianna Hudson scored to put ahead over top ranked Stanford, and they never looked back. Jordynn Dudley had the assist. The Cardinal finish the year 21-2-2. The loss Monday night to the Seminoles was their first since September 7th.
The championship is the Seminoles third in the last five seasons. All five national titles have come in the last twelve seasons. Their last title in 2023 also came with a win over Stanford, a game the Seminoles won 5-1.
