AMANA, Iowa (KWWL) - A new candidate is joining the race to represent Iowa's First Congressional District in Washington, D.C.
Tyler Hegewald, a Republican from Amana launched his campaign on Monday.
He says his campaign will focus on expanding economic opportunity, restoring fiscal responsibility, defending constitutional rights, and giving Iowans a strong advocate in Congress.
A former small business owner, Hegewald now a restaurant server. he says he looks forward to meeting voters in the district and building a movement focusing on a better future for Iowa.
