LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - The Louisville Metro Police Department has announced the arrest of a man in connection to a fatal shooting from several months ago.
Melinda Doolin, 61, was found shot and killed inside the Avenue Plaza Apartments on South 8th Street on Aug. 19. A man who’d been stabbed was also found outside the apartments. He was treated for non-life-threatening wounds at the hospital.
LMPD said 35-year-old Timothy Garmany was indicted on Nov. 20 in connection to Doolin’s shooting death on charges of murder- domestic violence, abuse of a corpse, tampering with physical evidence and being a convicted felon in possession of a gun.
Garmany was arrested on a murder warrant on Dec. 8 as he was showing up to court on another matter.
