KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Spire gas will pilot a program early 2026 waiving its $22 monthly customer charge for qualified low-income customers in Missouri.
The Customer Charge Waiver Program is part of a broader effort to expand energy-assistance funding and resources for customers struggling with inflation and rising costs. Spire said it helped customers access more than $23 million in federal, state, and company assistance in 2024.
“We know the impact inflation has on customers, and we’re focused on making sure options are available to those who are struggling,” Spire Missouri President Steve Mills said.
