The jackpot for the Monday night drawing is the seventh largest in Powerball history, with a cash value of $403.6 million, the Powerball lottery announced earlier Monday .

The Dec. 8 drawing was the 40th in the current jackpot run, the Powerball said Monday. The jackpot was last won on Sept. 6, when two tickets — one in Missouri and another in Texas — split a $1.787 billion prize
