Shelter dogs often rely on volunteers to brighten their days and give them a break from the stress of kennel life. These short outings can mean everything to a dog who longs for comfort and attention.
Some trips are simple park walks, while others include car rides, special treats, and even a chance to spend a night in a quiet home.
Coco, a senior dog from Arizona, was given one of these cherished opportunities. She enjoyed a full sleepover filled with love and warmth.
Yet when the time came to return her to the shelter, her reaction left many people heartbroken.
A Bittersweet Adventure
Coco has spent much of her life moving in and out of the Arizona Humane Society . Even though she is affectionate, social, and full of love to give, she still has not found her forever family.
