INGLEWOOD, Calif. − The Eagles tried to give the game away, and so did the Chargers.
In a game with eight turnovers, it was Jalen Hurts' career-high fourth interception that enabled the Los Angeles Chargers to escape with a 22-19 win over the Eagles on Dec. 8.
After the Chargers kicked a field goal, the Eagles had a first down at the Chargers' 17 when Hurts threw into the end zone Jahan Dotson just short of the end zone. The ball was deflected by Cam Hart into the arms of Tony Jefferson with 2:09 left in overtime.
The loss was the Eagles' third straight as they fell to 8-5. Buy Philadelphia Eagles tickets
The wildness included two turnovers by Hurts on the same play in the second quarter. That started a sequence of five turnovers by both teams in a matter of 10 plays.
