MARTIN COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) - Several eastern North Carolina counties saw flurries Monday evening, with some seeing more than others including Bertie, Hertford and western Martin County.
There were not very many people out Monday evening as flurries fell.
Tow truck companies WITN spoke with had already gotten a few calls as of Monday evening and were planning to remain alert as temperatures were set to dip overnight.
Empty, wet roads coupled with flurries were the perfect conditions for a night in.
“Well, it’s looking good so far, but a lot of people are staying home because I guess because the weather. We’ve already had to pull a couple out this morning and this afternoon as well, so that’s all we had to do so far,” said Johnny Bowen, owner of Johnny’s Automotive and Platinum Towing.
