AMES, IA (Dakota News Now) -As Jimmy Rogers texted me late Saturday night, Wild times. Indeed it has been for the former Jackrabbit Football coach who left for Washington State earlier this year only to get the job offer of a lifetime.

He moved his family to the west coast and is thrilled to be back close to family in Ames where today he met the media.

Keep in mind that this was a job he had his eye on for years and it opened up when Matt Campbell went to Penn State because Kalen DeBoer didn’t.

And he’s excited to be back recruiting in familiar territory.
