SAN JOSE, Calif. (KRON) -- Christmas decorations featuring Disney characters are being stolen from homes in San Jose.

The Steele family had their front yard decked out for the holidays, just as they do every year.

They reported that $1,200 worth of decorations were stolen from their front yard, including figures of Dumbo, Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, a hot rod, Eeyore and Stitch.

Nathan Steele expressed his devastation, saying he was "absolutely devastated" after discovering the theft through a notification on his camera.

Amanda Steele contacted KRON4 News after reporting the theft to police, noting that similar incidents have been reported by neighbors on the Nextdoor app.
