Two Extended Weekend Closures Will Limit Traffic in Both Directions
Major lane reductions are set to continue through the Sepulveda Pass next month as Caltrans advances its long-term pavement rehabilitation project on Interstate 405.
The agency announced that the freeway will be limited to three lanes in each direction during two extended weekend closures in December. The first is scheduled from 10 p.m. Friday, Dec. 5, through 5 a.m. Monday, Dec. 8. A second closure, originally planned for Dec. 12–15, has been shifted to Dec. 19–22. Caltrans is urging drivers to avoid the area and consider alternate routes or public transit.
