The National Investigation Agency (NIA), in coordination with the Jammu & Kashmir Police and CRPF personnel, undertook a joint search operation in the Mattan forest area of Anantnag district on Tuesday as part of the ongoing probe into the November 10 Red Fort blast in Delhi.
An official told GNS that the forest search follows interrogation leads from arrested suspects in the case, pointing investigators to potential hideouts and evidence in the dense woodland.
“Authorities brought along accused Dr. Adeel Ahmed Rather, one of the key figures already in NIA custody in connection with the “white-collar” terror module linked to the blast”, the official said, adding at the search site was also Jasir Bilal Wani, another accused in the case.
