Tributes have been paid to a former WWE star who has died aged 73. A multiple world title winner across several wrestling franchises , 'Mr Electricity' Steve Regal was described as a "flashy and charismatic grappler" who "paved a path for generations to come".
Regal began his professional wrestling career in 1977, and won championships across the USA throughout the 1980s. He joined WWE (then known as WWF) in 1986, after winning the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) Junior Heavyweight Championship the same year.
