Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has been excluded from the squad for Tuesday’s Champions League match against Inter Milan following a controversial interview in which he claimed the club had “thrown him under the bus.”
The club reportedly decided to sideline Salah briefly after his Saturday interview, where he stated he was unfairly dropped due to the team’s poor form and suggested his relationship with head coach Arne Slot had deteriorated.
Speaking in Milan, Slot said he was “surprised” by Salah’s remarks and denied any breakdown in their working relationship or that his authority had been undermined.
Sources told BBC Sport that Salah will not face formal disciplinary action despite the public comments.
