Nick Woltemade returns to Germany this week with words of endorsement ringing in his ears and the backing that his decision to join Newcastle United was the right one.

The 23-year-old made a stunning transfer move in the summer as the Magpies pulled off a sensational coup to land the striker for £69million from Stuttgart.

The shock swoop came after weeks of Woltemade being linked with Bayern Munich. The frontman had been one of the standout stars of the Bundesliga last season, and followed it up with a starring role for Germany's U21s in the European Championships.
