Several residents in Mahoning County may be experiencing a power outage that is affecting over 4,000 residents across both Youngstown and Austintown.
According to the FirstEnergy website, 2,468 customers in the Austintown area are without power as of 10:50 p.m.
Additionally, 1,789 customers in Youngstown are also reported to be without power.
Austintown Township Police Department says that Ohio Edison is aware of an outage and is headed to the area to investigate, but no time for arrival was given.
At this time, the cause of the outage is unknown.
Power is estimated to be restored at 2:30 a.m. on December 9.
