Motorists are being advised to apply toothpaste to their vehicles this December for two crucial purposes that can tackle typical issues arising when temperatures drop. The minty dental hygiene product can be utilised to prevent your vehicle from misting up with condensation during winter months.

Alongside shaving foam and, rather surprisingly, onions, toothpaste possesses qualities which inhibit the build-up of condensation on glass surfaces.

The method involves spreading a thin coat of toothpaste, diluted with water, across the interior of your windows and windscreen, which will then prevent condensation or ice from developing (when the moisture freezes in particularly frigid conditions).
