Ipswich Town goalkeeper Christian Walton hopes that he has done enough to keep his place in the starting lineup, with Alex Palmer set to return from injury.
Walton has spent much of the last two years on the treatment table or on the bench, supporting Vaclav Hladky in the previous Championship campaign and Aro Muric or Palmer in the Premier League.
However, with the latter picking up a calf injury during October’s 3-0 defeat at home to Charlton Athletic, the door has opened for the 30-year-old to play regular minutes.
