A spat of rain and snow showers will zip through overnight, but the main event will hold back until Wednesday afternoon, allowing temps to rise and the southerly wind to kick in.

We’ll see mostly rain at that point, with wet snow expected on outermost Route 2 and across western Massachusetts.
