BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - Temperatures remain cool today, but a gradual warming trend takes place in the days ahead.

After a cold morning start, temperatures nicely warm into the upper 50s under mostly sunny skies, making for a cool but pleasant afternoon.

WARMING UP

A gradual warming trend begins tonight and continues through mid-week. Temperatures are expected to climb above normal Wednesday through Saturday before the next cold front arrives, bringing another cooldown.

DRIER PATTERN IN PLACE

Rain chances remain absent through the rest of the workweek as dry air remains in place. A slim chance of rain returns over the weekend with the next front, but limited moisture means any showers should be light and brief.
