Hyderabad police on Monday night detained the Telangana BJP’s social media in-charge, Sumiran Kommaraju, for a poster that allegedly “maliciously defamed” Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy.
Kommaraju had designed a poster showing Revanth Reddy seated on a chair with multiple robotic arms projecting outward. Each arm was seen holding pieces of paper on which corruption and other allegations were written.
For instance, one of the pieces of paper read, ‘Brothers controlling real estate’, which pertains to an allegation against the Chief Minister regarding the purchase of prime land by his brother.
The posters were pasted outside Gandhi Bhawan, the Telangana Congress’s headquarters in Hyderabad .
