Volunteers at a Suffolk rehoming shelter have been left stumped as to why a "lovely" cat has spent 200 days in foster care.
Oscar, who is 18 months old, arrived at Cats Protection in Bury St Edmunds and Stowmarket in June.
His previous owner had taken him in as a kitten but decided to give him up.
Alice Warner, Cats Protection Regional Cat Welfare Advisor, said: “Oscar had led quite a sheltered life before coming into care, and with the upheaval of losing his home, he was understandably timid.
"His confidence has slowly grown, and now he enjoys a fuss and a head rub.
"His favourite game is chasing a peacock feather toy, which is great for keeping him entertained."
